Yoga private sessions aim at supporting your holistic path to therapy by easing body, mind and spirit imbalances, and they empower you with self-understanding and practical skills that you can incorporate in your daily life so as to maintain good health and well-being.
1:1 yoga therapy sessions last 50 to 60 minutes. Before we start the journey, there will be a consultation, which will allow us to discuss your health history and personal situation and set specific goals. This is necessary for me to design your specific program and choose yoga techniques that will be most beneficial to you.
The benefits of appropriate yoga practice are quickly felt and include improved bodily functions, increased physical strength, flexibility and balance, a calmer mind and resilience to external stressors and a positive energetic and emotional state of being. It addresses many health concerns, including but not limited to:
Musculoskeletal pains Stress and Anxiety Poor immunity Breathing and blood circulation
Digestive Health Balance and coordination Mind concentration Healthy Weight
My practice and teaching is based on Classical Indian Yoga and I use somatic and mind-concentration techniques including breathing and mind concentration, as a powerful tool in holistic therapy, self-development and well-being. Yoga is neither religion nor dry physical exercise. It is a valuable part of human wisdom: its symbolic language can be deciphered through the understanding of the anatomy, physiology and essence of the human body and psyche, which in turn are illuminated by the experience of yoga. I adjust yoga practice to healing aims.
It works beautifully in combination with herbal medicine in a cooperative, holistic effort to help you stir away from health imbalances. For best results, at least one session per week is recommended, for a fixed period of time depending on condition and personal situation.
