Upcoming Walks and talks

Nature walks allow us to reconnect with nature. We will learn techniques on how to read the landscape as the ongoing sculpture of the partnership between our natural environment and socio-cultural expression. We’ll travel into its historical evolution and read signs of its symbolic language. We will learn about habitats and their impact on local history and culture, we’ll identify plant families and medicinal plants including endemic species, and we’ll explore foraging and wild food possibilities. We’ll approach the sense of ‘belonging’ as part of a living ecosystem, and of course, we’ll enjoy an exciting and healing adventure.

Nature walks can be booked by groups of 4-10 people via our contact form or email. Individuals can register their interest in the registration form. They may last around 2.5 to 5 hours depending on arrangement. Transport to and from starting point is your own responsibility, but if you want to join and need transportation let us know.

Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and shoes as well as long trousers so as to be free to enjoy the wild terrain of Crete and bring water and anything you consider necessary for your personal needs. Let us know of your experience/level in hiking/nature walking and we’ll be glad to know if you have any desires or concerns. For more information please contact us.

Happy walking!
