1.Mother Earth, who am I? a day of learning and reflection
Πληροφορίες Εργαστηρίου
A journey into cosmic creation, life evolution on earth, nature and our own history. We’ll start by taking a look into the four elements of life: Earth, Water, Fire & Air, cosmic powers that form the pillars of Hippocratic medicine in the concept of ‘constitutions’ and are at the core of scientific and philosophical thought throughout space and time. We’ll visit secular and religious philosophies from ancient times down to quantum physics and modern thought and we’ll reflect on our human nature considering world perceptions on life and the experience of living throughout history.
Who we are reflects the history of humankind, which is conditioned by psychosocial dynamics and our relationship with nature. This realization brings us closer to the appreciation of our own life and our relationship with the land we live in, which is, in many ways, shaping our relationship with others. We’ll bring to light the amazing role that plants have been playing in our same existence, socio-cultural expressions, health and well-being throughout our history. We’ll share stories, discover hidden connections with nature that have sculpted sociocultural and identity constructions, and we’ll reflect on the basics of our biology and the foundations of our survival, health and well-being as individuals and as society.
This is an invitation for a philosophical and therapeutic meeting amidst the garden’s plants and their healing energy. The workshop consists of a presentation, discussion and reflection, the experience of being in nature and also communal cooking and sharing food being part of the reflective interaction among participants. It bridges science and philosophy, and seeks to bring about awareness, and concepts and relationships of unity rather than separation.
